Murphy's Law

Murphy's Law:
If anything can go wrong, it will

Over the years I've come across many Murphy's Laws and they usually make me chuckle. They make me laugh until I feel like I'm stuck in one! I'm not sure if my current predicament is actually a law, but it feels like one. Thankfully, this experience isn't life vs death, it's just annoying. Let me see if I can explain...many of you will probably say I'm neurotic, but it's beyond frustrating for me.

I always am up quite a bit before my boys because I've gone to the gym or because I want to get everything in order so we will have a nice tranquil transition out the house before school. I was raised that you NEVER are late, you ALWAYS are on time or early. I have a hard time when this is altered, I'm a bit OCD! So to avoid the feelings of irritation & annoyance, I try to have backpacks ready, an idea for breakfasts & lunch, dishes done, toys picked up before the boys get up, etc. Without fail, everyday the last week (school days only), I have reminded the boys to take care of their bathroom necessities (pooping) at least 20 minutes before we leave in my attempt to avoid running to the bathroom just moments before we are to leave. I know Neurotic right? I'm not trying to control their bathroom needs, I just know from experience what schedules my boys bodies have and I try to gently teach them to take care of their business before they head out for the day.  Besides who wants to use the schools bathroom? I remember how nasty they were when I was in school. Ick! But without fail, I ask the boys to go to the bathroom, get their shoes on and grab their backpacks and I instantly hear..... Mom, I gotta go! Ugh! Really????

I know you all are probably shaking your head at me & I know this isn't really one of life's problems, but it still bothers me. What are you going to do?

Oh well....I feel better now as it's off my chest. Better finish my gym time & get home so I can get ready for my boys to wake up. Let the fun begin!

Blessings!
